Planning for the 2010 North-South Shootout™ has admittedly endured a slow start. All of us at C&C Racing Promotions thank you for your patience. We like to think of it like running a 200-lap race and conserving tires for the second half of the race.

Following last year's event, C&C Racing Promotions needed time to regroup, reflect, and rejuvenate so that we can continue to provide the best racing event in short track racing-one worthy of the competitors who have supported the North-South Shootout year-after-year and, of course, worthy of JBIII's name!

The tradition will continue in 2010 with the headlining Tour-Type Modifieds along with the always-exciting SK-Type Modifieds. A mainstay of the North-South Shootout, the Vintage divisions, will once again be part of the action.

C&C Racing is proud to extend our partnership with the Champion Racing Association (CRA) Super Series. Again in 2010, through this association, the North-South Shootout will feature some of the best Super Late Model racing in the country.

A new addition to the North-South Shootout line-up for 2010 will be the USA Modifieds. This will be an excellent addition to the strong open-wheel line-up that fans have come to expect from the Shootout.

With renewed ambition, we begin to work on the 8th annual North-South Shootout.

We are currently working with regional race tracks to create a qualifying race schedule for both the Tour-Type and SK-Type Modifieds. We will announce the complete qualifying race schedule as soon as possible.
