Myers Goes Back-to-Back in
7 th Annual John Blewett III Memorial Town & Country Ford North-South Shooout ™

Concord, NC (November 7, 2009): The South rose again at the 7th Annual John Blewett III Memorial North-South Shootout on Saturday night as Burt Myers of Walnut Cove, NC, successfully defended his North-South Shootout championship. It was the second straight victory for Myers in Shootout Modified competition at the annual event. By virtue of his victory Myers earned $13,080 in prize money and contingencies.

Matt Hirschman of Northampton , PA , made history with his victory in the SK-Type Modified event on Saturday. Hirschman, a previous Tour Modified victor, became the first driver to win in both the Tour-Type and SK-Type Modifieds. Just days after losing his son in a tragic accident, Jeff Fultz of Troutman , NC , bested a talent-laden field of Super Late Models to score the WearCrete North-South Shootout victory. Dave Steele of Tampa , FL was victorious in the Tampa Bay Area Racing Association (TBARA) Sprint car debut at the Shootout. A pair of NJ natives combined to take the Vintage action at the Shootout. Pete Brittain of Oakhurst , NJ , and Anthony Colosimo of Red Bank, NJ w ere winners in Vintage Modified and Vintage Sportsman divisions respectively. more results

World Wide Relocations Service to Sponsor Team Entries for North/South Shootout 125

Salem, IN (October 15, 2009) – CRA Super Series officials have announced that World Wide Relocations Service, an Agent for Bekins Van Lines, will be supporting the North-South Shoot 125 Presented by WearCrete Diamond Concrete Polishing as a sponsor to support teams that will be entering the event. World Wide Relocations will pay for the entry fee for the first eight teams that enter the event that are non CRA Super Series regular teams and participated with a Super Late Model Touring Series during the 2009 season. Sundance Vacation Speedway was the site of last weekend's King of the Mountain event. Both the Tour-Type Modified and the Sport Modified events carried guaranteed starting spot for the annual North-South Shootout. By virtue of his lucrative win on Sunday afternoon, October 11, 2009 , Earl Paules earned a guaranteed starting spot in the John Blewett III Memorial Modified 125. The night before Anthony Sesely grabbed the King's crown and also a guaranteed starting spot for his car owner in the SK-Type Modified 50 at this year's Shootout. Both Paulus & Sesely have North-South Shootout starts in the past.

Rising Star Chase Elliott Files North-South Shootout Entry

Lexington, NC. (October 3, 2009): When the CRA Super Late Model Series sanctions it's first ever event in the state of North Carolina on November 6&7, 2009 as part of the 7th Annual John Blewett III Memorial North-South Shootout TM it will be a first for one of their rising young talents as well. Second-generation driver Chase Elliott of Dawsonville, GA, is among the first to file an entry for the WearCrete Diamond Concrete Polishing North-South Shootout 125. When Elliott heads to the North-South Shootout it will be the first time competing at the famed half-mile tri-oval of Concord Speedway. more info...

CRA Super Series to Sanction North-South Shootout Event

Salem, IN (September 18, 2009) – Champion Racing Association officials announced today that the CRA Super Series will be sanctioning a 125 lap Super Late Model non-points event with the North-South Shootout Modi fied event at Concord Speedway in Concord, North Carolina on Friday, November 6 th and Saturday, November 7 th . This is the 7 th year for the event, promoted by C & C Promotions. The highly anticipated event will also be the first ever CRA sanctioned event in North Carolina. “We were very honored when Charles Kepley, with C & C promotions, contacted us about coming down and handling the Super Late Model portion of the event,” remarked R.J. Scott, Managing Partner of Champion Racing Association. New Teams Added to the Shootout Starting Grids

Recent qualifying races secured starting spots for both the Tour-Type Modified and SK-Type Modified portions of this year's Shootout. On Friday, September 18, Keith Rocco took a controversial victory in the 40-lap SK Modified feature at Stafford Motor Speedway to earn a starting spot in the SK-Type Modified 50-lapper for his car owner John Rufano. On Saturday night, Saturday, September 19, George Brunnhoelzl, III finished second to Andy Seuss in the Whelen Southern Modified Tour event at Caraway Speedway. Seuss had already secured a starting spot for his car owner Jeff Riggs with a victory earlier in the season; transferring  the guaranteed start to George's car owner father, George Brunnhoelzl, Jr. more nfo..

C&C Racing Promotion Announces Change to NSS Line-Up

Lexington, NC (September 14, 2009): On Monday, September 14, 2009, C&C Racing Promotions announced plans to change the line-up of the 7 th Annual John Blewett III Memorial North-South Shootout scheduled for November 6&7, 2009 at Concord Speedway in Concord, NC.
